  • This recipe will give approximately two and a half cup of scrub. So be careful to take a container that is huge enough to store this quantity. Or else you will have to use few small containers.
  • Pour three tablespoons of coconut oil in the container. Well, you can also cut two to three capsules of Vitamin E and add it to the coconut oil in the container. On doing this, it is advisable that you let the scrub soak into your skin for a few minutes before rinsing it off.
  • Now, pour some honey in the container. We advise that the thicker types of honey are much better compared to the thinner ones.
  • Finally, add half a cup of sugar. Choosing the type of sugar for scrubs plays an important role in its effect. The raw sugar will treat the skin harshly, while the white sugar will prove to be least harmful and harsh to the skin. Brown sugar is moderately harsh.
  • Mix everything well. The texture of the scrub should be coarse and moist. If it is too smooth, add some more sugar. If the scrub feels very dry, add some more coconut oil to it.
  • Use the scrub as per your need and store the remaining on a counter or a place that is out of reach of ants. Do not store the sugar scrub in the fridge, as it may become very hard.

  • 2 tbsp of dried rosemary

  • ½ cup of melt and pour soap
  • ¼ cup of coconut oil

  • Colorant (optional – red mica)
  • 1 cup of raw sugar

  • Melt the shredded soap using a double boiler. You can also microwave it for about fifteen seconds. But take care to keep stirring it in between.

  • Divide the mixture amongst two bowls. Add mica to one of the bowls and stir until the color becomes uniform.
  • Take one bowl at a time and add the raw sugar to each one of them. The mixture should have a slushy consistency.
  • Pour the mixture into molds and let the mixture set and dry for 1 or 2 hours. Then unmold, and you can use the bars for scrubbing.

  • 5 tea bags
  • ½ cup of coarse white sugar
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon
  • 5 tbsp of coconut oil

  • 15 drops of vanilla essence oil or extract

  • Cut open the tea bags and empty the contents into a bowl.
